Broadcasting a Message Changing Passwords Blocking Users
The Web-4M Utilities may be started using the pull down menu at the top right of the Control Panel. To do this select [Utilities] from the menu on the top of this window. Then select the [desired utility].
Ping can be used to determine if the Web-4M server you are using is still running. When you logged on the server was running, but if you suddenly find that you can't get room or files lists from the server, it could be that someone or something has stopped your sever or interrupted your connection to it. First check the small colored box just below Quit. If the box is green your connection to the server is still functioning. If the box is yellow it means there has been a temporary interruption in your connection. If the box is red it means you are no longer communicating with the Web-4M server. Ping is the most useful when the box is yellow as it will tell you if your connection has been restored.
[Utilities] [Check Server Disk Usage] reports your disk quota and usage. Your usages consists of your Private documents, Public documents owned (or created by you), Mail messages/attachements and News documents. To have your disk quota increased, you must contact the administrator at your local facility.

You can change your starting documents URL, local/server starting directories, default calendar view, news inbox properties, mail sorting, and mail signature. To change preferences go to [Preferences...] on the [Utilities] menu, change the settings and [Save].
Broadcasting allows you to send a message to many people at once. Broadcasting can be started from within the Utilities menu.
There is a password changing tool that can be accessed via the Utilities menu item at the top left hand side of the Control Panel. First select [Utilities], then select [Change Password...]. A small dialog box will appear in which you must type your old password and the desired new password in each of two text entry areas.
Occasionally you find it necessary to block the contributions of all other users or of selected users. This can be done with the Block Utility which is accessed via the Utilities menu item at the top left hand side of the Control Panel.
A [B] should disappear from in front of any unblocked user name.
